Sep. 6th Yeoju Pottery Trip
October 2, 2026 · By Jay K. · 3 min read

Finally, KOPLE Seoul West Team 2's first trip, the Yeoju trip, has ended. 🤍

The first trip that we had been waiting and waiting for! Even with the early meeting time of 8 AM, nobody was late and we were able to depart safely!

Pat-pat-pat, Gold stars for everyone ⭐

Our Yeoju trip went along like the following:
- Visit to the Tomb of King Sejong
- Yeoju pottery-making experience
- Yeoju rice bagel-making experience
- Namhangang walk and pottery shopping
Tomb of King Sejong
Our first course, King Sejong's Tomb !
We went on a museum tour commemorating the achievements of King Sejong and also visited the Tomb of King Sejong itself.

(The faces were taking up approximately 97% of the screen, so we’re gonna have to protect them on this one)
Watching our international friends look so amazed while listening to the guide’s explanations honestly made me so proud.

We also took some group photos together in the warm September weather and had a little bit of free time to explore!
Lunch
Now, you might be wondering why I gave lunch its own entire chapter...
Our international friends were just WAY too cute not to introduce to everyone!

We actually got to introduce everyone to a variety of Korean dishes at the restaurant that was actually featured on a Korean food travel show called "한식기행"!!

And of course, I had to teach everyone how to make and eat ssam properly.
I wouldn't be surprised if everyone becomes addicted to ssam from now on ;)
Okay everyone, say AHHHH~!
Yeoju Pottery-Making Experience
Next up was something you absolutely have to try when you visit Yeoju! Pottery making!!
KOPLE is all about traveling to smaller cities with international friends and introducing everyone to the hidden beauty of these places.
And now that we were in Yeoju, There was NO way we were skipping the pottery!!

Everyone got to decorate the prepared pottery in their own style, carefully (or for some, not so carefully... ) brushing on the glaze.
And then...

The pottery masters fired our pieces in a kiln at over 1,000°C!
(WOW)
Apparently, they’ve been making pottery in Yeoju for four generations.
Pretty cool, right?

Our Reel got digitally fossilized 😭😭😭
At least our pottery finished!!!
Our international friends were having way too much fun, so naturally, we had to film a Reel together showing off everyone’s pottery.
(Please show KOPLE Seoul West Team 2’s Instagram some love!)
