In 1990s Korea, two worlds coexisted — the glitter of Orange Tribes (오렌지족) and the quiet charisma of intellectuals.
People carried poetry books to cafés, debated philosophy in journals, and found beauty in conversation.
Around the same time, Paju Book City was born — a utopia for books, ideas, and slow life.
This fall, the Korean Text Hip Trip brings that world back to life.
We’ll spend a weekend moving between pages and places —
from the rhythm of the Paju Book Fair, Korea’s largest festival for independent publishers,
to a night of deep connection at the Adonis Hotel in Pocheon, surrounded by forests and quiet music.

During the trip, we’ll exchange stories and reflections — getting to know each other through words.

Come dressed like a Korean cultural icon from the 1990s — calm, curious, and effortlessly cool.

Optional: Join our Vintage Hunt Day (Oct 17) at Dongmyo Market, where we’ll find authentic 90s-style outfits.

Think: turtlenecks, corduroy jackets, shoulder bags, vintage glasses, and autumn tones.

We’ll document the trip in the most nostalgic way — grainy, imperfect, but real.

You’ll meet independent publishers, illustrators, poets, and creators from all over the country.

Stroll along streets lined with book cafés, pop-up stalls, and exhibitions where every corner smells of paper and ink.

A pilgrimage for readers, artists, and anyone who believes that ideas can change the world.
It’s more than a festival — it’s the heartbeat of Korean culture.

🎶 Hwang In-yong Music Space

Founded by legendary DJ Hwang In-yong, this music lounge is dedicated to the art of deep listening.

Classical and jazz echo through the space as you sip tea, feeling the nostalgia of a different era.

The highlight of this journey is the visit to Hwang Inyong Music Space,
an extraordinary place where sound becomes memory
and our theme — “Time-Brewed Connections” — finds its final note.

This private music hall is curated by the legendary radio host Hwang Inyong,
featuring theater speakers from the 1920s–30s,
one of only ten sets remaining in the world.
Each performance session offers a rare chance
