🪩 PROGRAM <The Seventh Cheontal Sallon> - The Meaning of the 'Mask' (Tal)

The 'mask' (tal) in mask dance (Talchum) is a symbol that reveals the identity of a character, a ritualistic expression, and also a tool for anonymity. The October Cheontal Sallon focuses on 'The Mask Dancer's Transformation' within it, to rediscover the meaning of the 'mask'.
The mask dancer's voice, posture, and dance change the moment the mask is switched..! The symbol of the 'mask' becomes one with the medium that is the mask dancer.
Mask dancer Kim Ji-hoon of Yangju Byeolsandae Nori, Mask dancer Lee Ju-won of Hahoe Byeolsingut Talnori, Mask dancer Heo Chang-yeol of Goseong Ogwangdaewill each express characters through two different masks, showcasing the 'transformation' that only a mask dancer can perform, and reflecting on the meaning of the mask.
